Inspiring Person Donald Trump

Donald John Trump is an American businessman, television personality, and politician who served as the 45th President of the United States from 2017 to 2021. He is the founder of The Trump Organization, which is a collection of businesses and real estate developments, and he is the chairman and president of The Trump Corporation, a US-based real-estate developer.

Trump began his career in the 1970s, working for his father's real estate development company, The Trump Organization. He quickly made a name for himself as a successful businessman, and he began to expand the company's portfolio, acquiring properties in New York City, Atlantic City, and around the world.

In the 1980s, Trump became a household name due to his involvement in the development of large-scale real estate projects and his appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Phil Donahue Show. He also wrote several books on business and real estate, including "The Art of the Deal" which became a best-seller.

In the 2000s, Trump became increasingly involved in the entertainment industry, producing and hosting the reality television show "The Apprentice" on NBC which ran for 14 seasons. He also hosted the Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants.

Trump's political career began in 2011, when he expressed interest in running for President of the United States as a Republican. He launched his campaign in 2015, and he quickly gained a following among voters who were dissatisfied with the status quo. Trump campaigned on a platform of economic nationalism and immigration restrictionism, and he promised to "Make America Great Again."

Trump's campaign was marked by controversy, with many statements and actions that were widely criticized by political opponents and the media. Despite this, he won the Republican nomination and the general election, defeating Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.

During his term as President, Trump pursued an America First policy, with a focus on immigration restrictionism, deregulation, and economic nationalism. He also pursued an isolationist foreign policy, withdrawing from international agreements such as the Paris Climate Agreement and the Trans-Pacific Partnership. He also implemented policies that were seen as controversial, such as the Travel Ban on several Muslim-majority countries, a Separation policy of families at the US-Mexico border, and the repeal of the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate.

On the domestic front, Trump presided over a strong economy, with low unemployment and steady growth. However, his administration also saw a rise in income inequality and a decline in real wages for many workers.

Trump's presidency was also marked by numerous investigations and legal controversies, including the Russian interference in the 2016 election, the impeachment proceedings and the attack on the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. He was impeached twice, first in December 2019 on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress and again in January 2021, in the wake of the attack on the Capitol, on the charge of incitement of insurrection.

Trump's term in office ended on January 20th, 2021, following the certification of Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election by Congress. He was succeeded by President Joe Biden.
